IPCAM
utilizes the current internet infrastructure to stream the video and
share it with the world. It also features a DDNS for users with
dynamic IP as well as a PPPoE option to dial into your xDSL
provider.
The following diagram illustrates three common network
configurations for IPCAM;
1.
IPCAM is connected to a Router/IP share and Cable/xDSL modem to
stream video to the internet. This is the most common configuration
where a Router is used. The Router Port Forwarding has to be
configured to allow Public access to IPCAM.
2.
IPCAM is connected to a HUB and a Cable / xDSL modem. In this
setup, the user will need to setup PPPoE within IPCAM. Enter the
username and password as provided by the ISP to allow IPCAM to
dial-up to the internet.
3.
IPCAM is connected directly to a Cable / xDSL modem. Similiar to
configuration above, the PPPoE section IPCAM will have to be
configured to allow access to the internet. In addition, the user
will have to setup a DDNS account (choose from the list provided by
IPCAM Setup Wizard)
